Gokarna Murdeshwar in Karnataka is a small beach town located on the Arabian Sea Coast in the Uttara Kannada district in the southwest part of India. It lies approximately 390km from Bangalore and is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the state. The name 'Gokarna' is derived from two Kannada words - 'Go' meaning cow and 'Karna' meaning ear. It is named after Shiva, who is said to have created the town by creating a cow's ear-shaped inlet of Sea in its place.
Murdeshwar is known for its breathtaking beaches, Temple and stunning landscapes, which are the major attractions for travellers visiting here.
